Legionella risk assessment of large NHS site

Legionella risk assessor NHS project
Legionella risk assessor NHS project

Carrying out a full Legionella Risk Assessment of a large hospital in Devon will take our highly experienced risk assessors two months to complete.

The HSG274 part 2 and the HTM 04-01 are both taken into consideration for these healthcare premises. Our engineers have also been tasked with tracing all the pipework and providing up to date schematic drawings to include primary, subordinate and tertiary loops.

As part of the project we are producing accurate as installed drawings showing all pipe routes. These are being produced in AutoCad over the existing floor layouts provided by the hospital.

James said “it is a large scale, complex project but we have a plan and a well thought through schedule, our legionella risk assessment document really does provide the customers with a high level of detail specific to their site, it is so good to work on something challenging that I know is going to benefit patients”.

L8 & HSG274 …one year on

HSE’s revised ACOP L8 and HSG274 were published over a year ago. • What changes have these control documents made in practice? • Have any improvements been identified? • What measures do we need to consider for the future? A number of new initiatives were developed following feedback from the various stakeholder events in 2014 and these will be reported on by members of the HSE and WMSoc working parties.

The request came in late on a Friday and a specific site requirement was for 1000 waterproof, sequentially numbered labels to be put onto every outlet to ensure the building staff and users were kept safe during the work.

The Dantek admin team worked late into the night to ensure the job took place as soon as possible.
Our Engineers carried out the work efficiently and worked diligently to ensure an effective job.

This is an example of how Dantek respond quickly to specific requests from customers and are able to work as a team to ensure the service we provide is first class.
